Now, now. I know what maybe five of you are saying.
"Kris! This looks really, REALLY familiar!"
That's because Lemmy's unoriginal and Nightmare did it first.
"Are you really doing that series again with Koopalings this time?!"
Short answer: I was GOING to, but I got halfway through Wendy's "Cynics and Critics" and realized that it was going to be freaking hard as CRAP to replicate the series (and also Icon for Hire did some crap and I don't even know how I feel about them anymore), so I quit. This is the one picture I finished.
I figured I might as well post it because I had it finished and it's art sooooooooo...
I think the symbolism with the bone arms works a lot better on a character who DOESN'T always have bone arms. The symbolism I was going for in the first version of this picture was TOTALLY lost on Nightmare.
Also, can you believe that, even though I've had Nightmare for a good few years now, I've never once bothered to look up a reference for his bone arms? This is what they're ACTUALLY supposed to look like...so, whoops.
Lemmy Koopa (c) Nintendo
(fun fact: I actually had to find the fonts I used in the old version of the picture all over again because I've gotten a new computer since then. I'm not even sure if the one at the top is the same one as before. I don't think it is.)

The scribble-y coloring makes it look spooky Like a ghost or something
Great job!
