My DeviantART Story!

So, inbetween drawing weird purple space aliens, Anteus being chased by a very affectionate puppy, and Roy's halitosis (JK on the last one, but pretty dang close), I came on DeviantART and saw that dA is having this very special 14th birthday celebration and they're asking deviants to tell their stories, so I decided, "Hey, I'll bite "

I joined DeviantART WAAAAAAAY back in November of 2011. My first deviation was a little crap-thing with my own characters on it. As I've been on DeviantART, I've been influenced so much by my many great friends and I've noticed not only my own growth, but theirs as well!

So, for each one of my friends here on dA, I'll feature one of their deviations and say how great things about them! In the words of one red-capped plumber (that I seem to be obsessed with as of late), "Here we go!"

Monochrome-Pastel (AKA: Katy )


Katy is my absolutely wonderful sister. She joined DeviantART soon after I did. She needs a bit of persuasion to actually POST certain things, but she draws WONDERFULLY. I know Katy won't want me to go too much into her, so let's move on, shall we?

KookyShyGirl88 (AKA: Mollie/Vee (I still flip-flop between the two ))

(tried not to feature the same one Yoshilove9 did)

Mollie was the one that really got me into the wonderful world of Mario (like, INTO into). I wouldn't be the Koopaling-obsessed little creeper I am today without Mollie. Her art is playful and cartoony (and makes me smile). Now we've started delving into the wonderful world of Mario headcanons, and we fangirl over, well, a lot of the same stuff in the Mario universe.

GIR9942 (AKA: Heidi)


OMG, where do I begin with Heidi? She's really fun (and probably my biggest LS fangirl). Without her, Jupiter and Dante (as seen above) would have never been (the thought of which makes me REALLY sad). When we RP together, it always turns out to be a good time. Also, I REALLY MISS UNBREAKABLE...so yeah...Her characters are enrapturing and I just can't get enough of them (I'm looking at you, Heidi, Vorx, Zynn, and Max...).

Yoshilove9 (AKA: Anna)


Anna has an absolutely AMAZING art style which never ceases to make me so very jealous. Even when I don't understand a piece, I can still bask in its amazingness. She's always making me want to try Touhou too...(I'll get around to it...eventually...)

ArranOfUrbaMagna (AKA: Alex)

BloodEverything around me seems painted red.
I never thought it could scare me this much.
It is such a common color. I see it every day.
Never before had it done this to me.
This is a darker red than I ever could have imagined.
It is blood. But not just any blood. My blood.
It flows in an impossibly large pool around me.
Sudden realization amplifies the fear I already feel.
I am going to die. And I cannot stop it.
My red blood stains my arms and my clothes.
Is this really happening?
This can't be real. It isn't fair!
I still have so much to do.
There is a war to be won.
Am I a casualty?
My strength is rapidly leaving me.
Just as the warm red liquid does.
I try to crawl, but I slip in my own blood.
I can't even tell where it is coming from anymore.
I slump against a wall and my vision dims.
I think I hear footsteps and raised voices.
But it is already too late.
I feel a tear slide down my cheek.
It falls to be swallowed by the blood.
I close my eyes and await the end.
It isn't fair.
It isn't

Alex is a whiz in the category of literature. Knowing him IRL, we were friends both on and off then internet. Lately, he's been getting into poetry, which is absolutely beautiful and a very good read.

YoshiLuma (AKA: Anna...which gets really confusing right next to the other Anna...I try not to think about it too much...)


Anna is another IRL friend of mine who works mostly with Pokemon pixel art. Even so, she and I have had many great conversations, not just about Pokemon, but about the world of Mario as well. Even though I still haven't finished that Fawful poster I started in art class, every time I look at it, I think of you, Anna!

SparkySama (AKA: Sparky/Ryu)


Sparky-sama and I have been friends for a while and I've watched her transfer from the world of MMD to doing full-on digital drawing. She's improved a lot and I have to commend her for learning a lot of techniques I still have yet to master . Sparky is the chibi master, but she even draws normal full-body AMAZINGLY.
